A calm artificial lake in the heart of Udaipur, built by Maharana Swaroop Singh between 1842 and 1861 to regulate water levels across the city's interconnected lake system. Also known as Kumharia Talab, it links Lake Pichola to Fateh Sagar Lake through a channel, and the dam overflow during monsoons creates a scenic waterfall lit with colourful lights at night. Small gardens along the banks make it a pleasant local evening spot away from the tourist crowds.
