Pipiting Gompa

A small monastery and stupa near Padum, visible from Karsha, tied to Dalai Lama era sermons.

Pipiting Gompa sits on a hillock in the middle of the valley and is visible from Karsha Monastery. It houses a stupa where the Dalai Lama is said to have delivered sermons, along with murals attributed to its founder. It is a modest site compared to Zanskar's larger monasteries, but its central location makes it an easy add-on for travellers already moving between Padum and Karsha.
