Drang-Drung Glacier stretches over 20 km near the Pensi La pass on the Kargil to Zanskar road, and is likely the largest glacier in Ladakh after Siachen. It feeds the Stod River, a key tributary of the Zanskar River, and is unusual among major Himalayan glaciers for being visible straight from the roadside without a trek. Most travellers entering Zanskar from Kargil stop here, making it the valley's most photographed natural landmark and a practical, low effort adventure highlight.
