Dodi Tal

Dodi Tal is a forest lake sitting at roughly 3307 metres, mythologically linked to the birth of Lord Ganesha and known locally for its depth, which remains unmeasured to this day. Dense forests of deodar, oak and rhododendron surround the water, adding to its quiet, secluded charm. It has become a popular trekking destination reached via Hanuman Chatti and appeals strongly to trekkers who want to extend their Yamunotri visit beyond the standard pilgrimage route into wilder terrain.
