Ramappa Temple, located about 70 kilometres from Warangal near Palampet, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the finest surviving examples of Kakatiya temple architecture. Built in 1213 CE and dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is known for its intricately sculpted pillars, dancing figures and a roof constructed with lightweight porous bricks believed to float on water. The temple's setting beside Ramappa Lake, framed by hills and forest, adds to its standing as one of Telangana's most significant heritage sites.
