Ghatotkacha Cave lies along the road connecting Aurangabad to Ellora, roughly four to five kilometers from the main cave complex, and receives far fewer visitors than its famous neighbor. The site includes an unfinished chaitya hall along with monastic quarters carved into the rock face. Its quieter setting appeals to travelers who want a glimpse of Deccan rock cut architecture without the crowds that gather at Ellora itself.
