Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple (Sripuram)

Sri Lakshmi Narayani Golden Temple, known locally as Sripuram, stands about eight kilometers from Vellore town in Tirumalaikodi. The temple's vimanam and ardha mandapam are covered in real gold foil, a rare feat among Indian temples, and pilgrims walk a star shaped pathway of nearly two kilometers to reach the sanctum. Built by Sri Narayani Peedam under the guidance of Sri Sakthi Amma and consecrated in 2007, the temple performs a thousand and eight lamp ceremony each morning and evening.
