Gunabati Group of Temples

A cluster of three 17th century brick temples tucked in Udaipur''s old town lanes.

The Gunabati Group of Temples comprises three brick shrines built in 1668 in the name of Maharani Gunabati, wife of Maharaja Govinda Manikya. Located along the narrow lanes of Udaipur town, the temples display terracotta friezes depicting scenes from the Ramayana and Krishna leela, along with a distinctive pyramidal shikhara style typical of the region. Though modest in scale, the complex offers an intimate look at Tripura's Manikya period temple architecture and brickwork craftsmanship.
