Srivari Mettu is the traditional foot pilgrimage path on the Tirumala hills, used by devotees who choose to climb to the Venkateswara Temple on foot as an act of devotion. The path begins at Srinivasa Mangapuram and ascends through the Seshachalam hills via a series of stone steps and forest trails. The climb of approximately 11.5 km passes through dense forest and several small shrines, including the sacred Akasa Ganga waterfall. Walking the Srivari Mettu is considered a powerful act of faith, and hundreds of devotees make the climb daily, many barefoot, as a mark of surrender and gratitude to Lord Venkateswara.
