Bamuni Hills holds the scattered stone remains of temples built between the 9th and 10th centuries, believed to have been destroyed by an earthquake. Carved fragments, doorframes, and decorative panels lie across the low hillside, showing the fine craftsmanship of the period even in their broken state. The site sits close to Mahabhairab Temple, making the two easy to combine on the same visit. Little formal signage exists here, so a guide or some prior reading helps in appreciating what remains.
