Gangabal Lake

Gangabal Lake sits above 11,000 feet amid snow capped peaks and alpine meadows, reached by trekkers on a multi day route through the high passes north of Sonmarg. The lake holds deep religious significance for Hindu pilgrims, who visit a shrine to Lord Shiva on its shores, alongside trekkers drawn by the dramatic high altitude scenery and clear glacial waters.
