ASI Archaeological Museum, Sirpur

The ASI Archaeological Museum sits adjacent to the Lakshmana Temple and holds statues and architectural fragments gathered from excavations across Sirpur since the 1950s. The collection spans Shaiva, Vaishnava, Buddhist, and Jain traditions, reflecting the site's unusual religious diversity between the 6th and 12th centuries. Labeled exhibits help visitors piece together the layout of a city otherwise scattered across dozens of unexcavated mounds. It works well as a first stop before walking the wider site.
