Ananda Prabhu Kuti Vihara was built by the monk Anand Prabhu with sponsorship from the Hindu king Sivagupta Balarjuna, an example of the religious cooperation common at Sirpur. The complex included fourteen monk residences alongside a shrine to Avalokiteshvara. An inscription found on site records the king's endowment of a free feeding house for monks, written in a mix of classical Sanskrit meters. The vihara illustrates how royal patronage crossed religious lines in this city.
