Matri Mandir is a Kali shrine in Shillong’s Polo–Lawmali neighbourhood and an important place of worship for local Hindu communities. Often associated with older Kalibari traditions in the city, it offers a quieter religious stop close to central Shillong. Devotees visit throughout the year, with larger gatherings during Kali-related festivals.
