Surwal Lake lies roughly 6 to 10 kilometers from Sawai Madhopur town, surrounded by farmland and functioning as one of the region's best birdwatching spots. Between November and March, migratory species such as painted storks, spoonbills, flamingos, and demoiselle cranes gather along its shallow waters, drawing photographers and birders from early morning. The lake dries up considerably during April and May, so timing a visit to the cooler months matters. A walking path along one side lets visitors observe birdlife without disturbing the habitat.
