Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary / Maenam Hill

Maenam Wildlife Sanctuary covers the forested slopes of Maenam Hill above Ravangla, protecting habitat for red pandas, civets, and a wide range of Himalayan bird species. Trekking routes climb through dense rhododendron and oak forest to the summit, rewarding hikers with sweeping views of the Kanchenjunga range. The trek is often combined with a route toward Ralang, making the hill a favored base for multi day treks in South Sikkim. Cool temperatures and rich flora make it popular with birdwatchers and nature photographers throughout the year.
