Buddha Park of Ravangla, also known as Tathagata Tsal, is centered on a 130 foot statue of Sakyamuni Buddha framed by Himalayan peaks. Built between 2006 and 2013, the park houses a small museum on the Buddha's life, a meditation hall, and the calm Cho-Dzo Lake. Landscaped gardens and prayer wheel walkways wind around the statue, giving the site a reflective, unhurried mood distinct from the busier monastery circuits nearby. Located barely a kilometer from town, it suits both pilgrims and casual visitors alike.
