Jonha Falls, also called Gautamdhara, drops about 43 metres amid dense forest roughly 40 kilometres from Ranchi, with a small Buddhist temple nearby adding a quiet spiritual note to the setting. Adventure travellers come for rappelling down the rock face, while others descend a stepped path to reach the cool base pool for a swim or picnic. The mist and greenery around the falls create a refreshing atmosphere for visitors.
