Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary spreads across the Aravalli hills around Kumbhalgarh Fort, its boundaries traced by the same 36 kilometre wall that rings the fortress. The rugged terrain shelters panthers, leopards, sloth bears, hyenas, jackals and several species of deer, alongside a lively population of peafowl, parakeets and other birds. Jeep safaris and short treks let visitors combine wildlife spotting with fort sightseeing on the same trip, since both share the same access road and general vicinity.
