Varaha Temple is one of the oldest temples in Pushkar and is dedicated to Varaha, the boar avatar of Lord Vishnu who rescued the earth goddess Bhudevi from a demon. The original temple was built in the 12th century by King Anaji Chauhan and was later destroyed during Aurangzeb's reign. It was rebuilt in the 18th century by Raja Sawai Jai Singh II of Jaipur. The temple features a dome, white walls, and carved pillars. It is considered one of the most important of Pushkar's 400-odd temples and draws a steady flow of pilgrims throughout the year.
