National War Memorial Southern Command

The National War Memorial Southern Command is a profound military landmark in Pune dedicated to the post-independence martyrs of the Indian Armed Forces. Established in 1998, it is the only war memorial in South Asia funded entirely by citizens' contributions. The site features a 25-foot tall monolith, a museum showcasing captured tanks and aircraft, and marble plaques inscribed with the names of fallen heroes.
