Lal Mahal is a historic red-brick structure in the heart of Pune, famous for its deep association with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Originally built in 1630 by Shahaji Raje Bhosale for his wife Jijabai and son, it is the site where the legendary Maratha leader spent much of his childhood. The palace is also renowned for the daring encounter between Shivaji and Shaista Khan. Today, it serves as a memorial featuring beautiful murals and paintings that depict significant events from Shivaji's life.
