Darbargadh

A former Rajput fort palace with grand arched gateways, once the seat of Porbandar's ruling Jethwa dynasty.

Darbargadh was built by Rana Sartanji as the fortified seat of Porbandar's Jethwa rulers, its outer walls anchored by four large arched gateways. Inside, additional gates lead toward inner courtyards, including the ornate Darbar Bari entrance supported by carved elephant statues and a traditional Rajasthani-style jharokha balcony. The structure reflects the authentic Rajput architectural language of Saurashtra's princely states, built for defence as much as ceremony.
