Sat Kaman

A row of seven monumental arches near the old Royal Mint, one of Champaner's most photographed ruins.

Sat Kaman, meaning seven arches, is a row of monumental stone arches standing near the ruins of the old Royal Mint and Armoury in Champaner. Historians believe the structure once formed part of a larger royal building whose other sections have not survived, leaving the arches standing somewhat isolated across the open ground. The site is visible from the ropeway on the way up Pavagadh Hill, and its stark, skeletal outline against the sky makes it one of the more photographed ruins in the park.
