Dudhiya Talav

A lake on the Pavagadh ropeway approach, said to take its name from once milky white water.

Dudhiya Talav lies along the approach to the Pavagadh ropeway, its name drawing on the word for milk after accounts of the lake once appearing milky white. The water has since taken on a more ordinary clarity, but the lake remains a scenic stop for visitors making their way toward the ropeway base station. The ruined Lakulisha Temple stands somewhere along its banks, adding a layer of history to what would otherwise be a simple rest point on the climb.
