Spangmik Village perches on the western edge of Pangong Tso and serves as the most accessible base for exploring the lake. Traditional homestays line the settlement, run by Changpa families who also herd livestock in the surrounding highlands. Walking the shoreline here reveals some of the best sunrise and sunset views, as the water constantly shifts color through the day. Tented camps set up outside the village during tourist season add stargazing and lakeside camping to the stay.
