Kollengode Palace

Kollengode Palace sits in the village of Kollengode about 19 kilometers south of Palakkad town and once housed the local Kollengode Rajas. Its design mixes traditional Kerala timber work with European detailing, and the grounds include a shrine dedicated to Vishnu along with murals, artifacts, and old hero stones from the region's past. The surrounding village, with its paddy fields and slower pace, adds to the sense of stepping into an earlier era of rural Palakkad.
