Satpura National Park covers a large stretch of the Satpura hills around Pachmarhi and forms part of the wider Satpura Tiger Reserve and biosphere. The forest shelters tigers, leopards, bison, and a wide range of birds, along with dense stands of sal and teak forest across steep, varied terrain. Visitors need permits, arranged through Bison Lodge, and typically explore the park by gypsy safari with an assigned guide.
