Sarangapur Hanuman Temple

Sarangapur Hanuman Temple crowns a hill about seven kilometers from Nizamabad and is one of the district's most important pilgrim sites. Tradition holds that its foundation stone was laid by saint Samartha Ramadas, the spiritual guru of Chhatrapati Shivaji, giving the shrine deep historical weight. Devotees visit believing the deity grants both mental and physical strength, and the temple grounds include an open garden being developed around the hilltop site. Hanuman Jayanti draws large crowds through the year.
