Chamar Leni (Jain leni) Jain Mandir

Chamar Leni, also known as Jain Leni, is a group of ancient rock-cut Jain caves located near Peth Road in Nashik, dating back to around the 2nd century BCE. The caves were used by Jain monks as meditation retreats and contain carved chambers, inscriptions, and simple architectural elements typical of early Jain rock-cut traditions. They represent an important piece of Nashik's ancient religious heritage and offer a glimpse into the ascetic lifestyle of Jain monks of that era.
