Namchi Rock Garden occupies the slope between Namchi town and Samdruptse Hill, inaugurated in 2005 as a landscaped retreat of trees, flowering plants, and paved walking paths. Several waiting sheds and viewpoints are scattered through the grounds, along with a small cafeteria serving tea and coffee to travelers passing through. The garden also marks the base station for the Samdruptse cable car, making it a natural stop before or after visiting the hilltop statue. Its greenery offers a relaxed contrast to the district's more monumental sites.
