Zero Mile Marker

The Zero Mile Marker is a stone pillar erected during the British era to mark what was then considered the geographical center of India. Four horses and an obelisk make up the compact monument, which continues to symbolize Nagpur's central position within the country. Located near Nagpur's old railway station area, the marker draws history minded visitors and photographers for its symbolic rather than scenic value. Its small footprint makes it a quick five to ten minute stop rather than a destination requiring extended time.
