Harshat Mata Temple

Located immediately beside Chand Baori in Abhaneri, roughly 25 km from Mehandipur, the Harshat Mata Temple is dedicated to the goddess of joy and happiness. Much of the structure lies in ruins today, maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India, but its surviving carved pillars and lintels hint at once-elaborate historic craftsmanship. Travelers combining Mehandipur with Abhaneri typically visit both sites together in a single stop, making this an easy pairing for pilgrims extending their trip.
