Wargal Saraswathi Temple, also known as Sri Vidya Saraswati Temple, stands on a hillock in Wargal village, roughly 80 kilometers from Medak town. Founded in 1989 and later adopted by the Kanchi Mutt, the temple is considered the second most important Saraswati shrine in Telangana after Basara. Families bring young children here for Aksharaabyasa, the ritual first writing lesson, and a separate shrine on the same hill honors Lord Shani with one of the state's largest Shani statues.
