Duke's Nose takes its name from a supposed resemblance to the nose of the Duke of Wellington when viewed from certain angles along the ridge. The cliff offers uninterrupted views over the Konkan side of the Western Ghats, with the valley floor dropping sharply away from the viewpoint. It sits just outside Khandala, a short distance from Lonavala's main cluster of attractions, and pairs naturally with a visit to nearby viewpoints. Evening visits are popular for the layered light across the hills as the sun sets, though the trail can get crowded on weekends.
