Kumareshwar Temple is one of several scattered Chalukya-era shrines around the Lonar crater, built from the same dark basalt that forms the crater walls. Much of the structure survives only in partial ruin, maintained loosely by the Archaeological Survey of India, but its stonework still hints at the craftsmanship of the wider temple cluster. Visitors exploring beyond the main rim temples will find it a quieter, less polished stop suited to those interested in the site's deeper architectural layers.
