A short walk from the temple, the Monolithic Nandi rises 15 feet tall and stretches 27 feet in length, carved entirely from one block of granite. Also called Basavanna, it faces the Nagalingeshwara shrine inside the temple as Shiva's loyal companion. Adorned with a carved necklace and bell garland, the sculpture showcases the technical mastery of Vijayanagara era artisans. It remains one of the most photographed sights in Lepakshi and a popular stop for visitors arriving by road from Bangalore or Hindupur.
