The Aina Mahal stands within Bhuj's Darbargadh complex as an 18th century palace celebrated for its dazzling hall of mirrors, created by master artisan Ram Singh Malam. Now functioning as the Maharao Madansinhji Museum, it houses royal portraits, furnishings and a fifteen metre scroll depicting a historic royal procession. The palace survived the 2001 earthquake with damage but has been carefully restored. Visitors get a close look at Kutchi embroidery and craftsmanship alongside the ornate mirror and glass work throughout its halls.
