Marmala Waterfall

Marmala Waterfall drops through dense forest near Teekoy in the hillier eastern part of Kottayam district, roughly on the route toward Vagamon. Reaching it involves a walk of twenty to thirty minutes over rocky, sometimes slippery terrain, with a rope handhold in places to help wade across the stream. The relative effort required keeps crowds thinner than at more accessible waterfalls, rewarding visitors with a quieter forest setting.
