Kodachadri Peak, roughly twenty five kilometres from Kollur, holds a direct link to the Mookambika legend since the goddess is said to have descended from this peak to the valley below. The trek to the summit ranks among the finest in the Western Ghats, rewarding hikers with sweeping views that stretch toward the Arabian Sea on clear days. Along the way, Hidlumane Falls offers a scenic rest point. The peak sits outside Kollur's usual radius but is commonly paired with a temple visit as an extended day trip.
