Kurinji Andavar Temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan and located about 3 km from Kodaikanal Lake. Situated at a scenic elevation, the temple offers delightful views of small villages, Palani Hills, and northern plains. The surrounding area is famous for carrot and other vegetable cultivation on terraced slopes. The temple is also associated with the Kurinji flower that blooms once every 12 years, creating a purple carpet.
