Located at Thalangara near the railway station, the Malik Deenar Mosque is among the oldest mosques in Kerala, traditionally linked to Malik Ibn Dinar, an early propagator of Islam in the region. The two storeyed structure follows a Kerala palace style rather than typical mosque design, with massive wooden beams and Arabic carvings on the pillars. A dargah stands beside it, and visitors of all faiths are welcome to enter after removing their footwear and washing their feet.
