Moti Jheel

Moti Jheel (Pearl Lake) in Harsh Nagar, Kanpur, is a historic natural lake that was once a beautiful recreational site during the Nawabi and British eras. The lake was surrounded by gardens and served as a popular leisure destination. Though reduced in size due to urban encroachment over the decades, the lake area has been redeveloped as a public park with boating facilities. The lake provides a green breathing space in the densely populated southern parts of Kanpur and continues to attract families for picnics and evening walks.
