Kanpur Sangrahalaya (Kanpur Museum)

Kanpur Sangrahalaya (Kanpur Museum) in Phool Bagh is the main museum of Kanpur, housed in a colonial-era building. The museum houses a collection of archaeological exhibits including sculptures, coins, terracotta figurines, and artefacts from the Kanpur region spanning ancient to medieval periods. The collection includes items from the Maurya, Gupta, and medieval periods found during excavations in the Kanpur and Bundelkhand regions. The museum also has a gallery on the 1857 revolt, which has particular significance for Kanpur given its role in that uprising.
