The Thanumalayan Temple at Suchindram, about 13 km from Kanyakumari town, is a rare Shaiva shrine where Lord Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma are worshipped together as a single deity called Sthanumalayanar. Believed to be over 1,000 years old and built primarily in the Dravidian style, the temple features an ornate 134-foot gopuram, a magnificent musical pillar made from a single block of stone that produces different notes when tapped, and a large tank called Tambraparani. It is managed by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department of Tamil Nadu.
