Bangalpukhuri Tank

Bangalpukhuri Tank is a historic reservoir in Jorhat with roots tracing back to the Ahom dynasty, believed to have been constructed in the 17th century during the reign of King Gadadhar Singha. Local folklore holds that a group of masons brought in from Bengal built the tank, which is how it earned its name. The tank once served practical purposes for the town's water needs and now stands as a quiet reminder of Ahom era engineering.
