Manipur Zoological Garden

Manipur Zoological Garden in Lamphelpat, about eight kilometres from the city centre, is home to roughly four hundred familiar and rare animal and bird species. Visitors can take safari style rides through parts of the grounds or simply walk between enclosures for birdwatching and photography. Established with a focus on conservation, the zoo offers a calm, green setting that appeals particularly to families and school groups visiting Imphal.
