Kadalekalu Ganesha is another impressive monolithic statue of Lord Ganesha in Hampi, located on the northern slope of Hemakuta Hill. The name "Kadalekalu" means "gram seed" in Kannada, referring to the shape of Ganesha's belly. This statue is even larger than the Sasivekalu Ganesha, standing 4.5 meters tall, making it one of the largest Ganesha statues in South India. The statue is carved from a single boulder and shows Lord Ganesha in a seated position. The statue is housed in a large hall with pillars, and the structure provides a grand setting for the impressive sculpture. The statue was carved in the 15th century and is a significant religious and artistic monument. The location offers beautiful views, and the statue is particularly notable for its massive size and the intricate details of its carving.
