Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple near Dwarka in Gujarat is one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The name Nageshwar means Lord of Snakes, and the temple is believed to protect devotees from all poisons, both physical and metaphorical. A massive 25-metre statue of Lord Shiva in a seated meditation posture stands in the temple complex. The temple is located in the Saurashtra region, close to the sacred city of Dwarka, and pilgrims typically visit both sites together. The Jyotirlinga is believed to be swayambhu (self-manifested) and radiates powerful spiritual energy.
