Baba Farid's Tomb honours the Sufi saint after whom Faridabad is named, and stands on Talab Road near Gopi Colony in the old part of the city. Baba Farid served as treasurer to Mughal emperor Jahangir, who granted him the settlement that would grow into present-day Faridabad. The tomb has held religious significance for roughly four centuries and continues to draw pilgrims from the Muslim community throughout the year, making it one of the city's oldest continuously visited sacred sites.
